#7 Own the start
I am not going to tell you to get up early. You know what your best cycle is. Some of us teach until 11 pm and others start at 4:30 am. Each requires different rhythms. Whatever your cycle is, own the start of each day.
Four things can radically change how you take on the day. This is not anecdotal based action. This is scientifically proven tactics that the most successful people in all facets of life use to own each day.
Hydrate - drink water. 8 to 16 oz’s of water 1st thing when you wake is highly beneficial for your health and gets your body going
Move - 20 to 30 minutes of intense exercise. This stimulates your body and mind while getting your metabolism going. This will wake you up and dial you in ready to take on the day.
Think - take 15 to 20 minutes to meditate, write, or just sit peacefully and think. Allowing your mind to go where it is going to go stimulates your brain which brings more clarity and focus.
Plan - Spend 15 to 20 minutes with your planner. Break down your entire day block by block to establish what you are going to do and what you are going to achieve.
It is a cascading system to put yourself into top performance, focus, and purpose for each day. You can fully engage with the process of your life through this system. Align your daily actions with your goals!
Avoid distraction until you follow these steps and plan out your day. Watching Tv or flipping thru your phone until you bang out the big 4, will just numb you to your goals and distract you from establishing a plan for the day. Don’t allow the big commercial megaphone to distract you or phone to hijack you from what you know you need to do.
You do you to start your day before you let the outside in. Once you are focused and established, not much can pull you off course.
