I was told that I post as much as a 16 year old girl. I took that as a compliment. At 43, I have fully embraced the time in which I live. We have more opportunities to communicate now than any other time in history. Feel however you want about it, it is going to get bigger and faster every day from here on out. You can hate on it or you can figure out how to make it work for you.
I produce content so I can post a minimum of 96 times a day. I post every 15 minutes across multiple platforms. Much of this is done thru a post scheduling tool and others are done organically as I go about my day. My mission is 2 fold; I use posting as a way to think thru the ideas I have and I share them with an audience. I have had great discussions and made new acquaintances thru this daily exercise. I have to think and create daily, this keeps me sharp and grounded.
Some people write books, I produce content. The daily riddle is how do I take a part of me and gve it to you in a way that provides value. This really keeps me grounded and keeps me valuable in a crowded marketplace. I benefit personally and professionally from this process.
You can reject the future and guarantee your own demise, or you can embrace the time in which you live along with all the potential benefits of advancement. Don’t hate, find a way to make the tools available valuable for you, but more importantly, keep working to figure out your value to others. Value is where we find our worth. Technology is just a tool to figure things out, communicate, and create.
